Anyways, rewind back a couple of weekends ago. My 2 good friends my southern friend Sue, and the northern one, Karen, had planned a (belated) birthday treat to tea at The Ritz. This place holds a special place in my heart, because my Dad had taken me a few times here for birthday treats when I was agirl. I remember getting all dressed up in my Sunday best for a trip to London and a matinee, followed by Tea at The Ritz!
As you can imagine, I was elated when last year on my (40th) birthday I was handed an invitation for Saturday February 27th....
Now at first I thought this gift was form Sue, but oh no! karen rings me the Friday before for a chat, doorbell rings, and who is standing on the other side.... KAREN! ooo she is a little mischief is she! I should know by now, that she wouldnt have missed this day out for the world. So as well as going for tea and spending a good few hours admiring the halls at Harrods, I got to do it all with 2 very dear friends!
This was the first sign of Spring I had seen this year!
