Its been an amazing 2 years of feelings, ups and downs, and of course this time last year shows my emotions at their lowest. As well as my own personal emotions, it will be the 9/11 anniversary tomorrow. Many wonderful things have happened to me which i have enjoyed sharing with you all, i have met many wonderful people while blogging, many talented and amazing artists and have made special friendships, all through blogging that I am extremely grateful for.
And with this all in mind and to keep my spirits up here is my Birthday RAK. Just make a post, feel free to tell me what your highest point has been , and the number generator will pick not one winner, but 2 as its my 2nd birthday!!! Lots of paper, cardstock, embelishments and a magazine on making the most of your chipboard!
Well i have been playing and was desperate to scrap but didn't know what to scrap, what papers to play with, so i grabbed a bag of scraps and ended up with some scrummy Wild Asparagus. I made a layout and 2 cards.
I have been wanting to use this Junkitz flower ever since i bought it, but never found a home on a layout that pleased me, this layout had the perfect spot for it! I am loving my foofala buttons which of course had to make an appearance. Buttons and paper flowers seem to be my thing at the moment, lol.
And here is my Pencil Lines layout in full. Everything i have used was supplied in the I "Heart" Candy kit by SIStv. Thanks Jeanette for your generosity and sponsoring the DT, we have had a ball!!!!.

ReplyDeleteI guess my up time was when I first found out my daughter was going to make me a grandma. She was 32 and thought she would not be able to have a baby. Now she has one boy 2 and one girl 11 months and is talking about trying for a third. It just shows that you never know.

As I;ve just started blogging this week, that's a pretty high point, but the highest probably has to be the feeling of achievement when I managed to take a photo on manual for the first time during Cheryl's Painting With Light Course and actually managed to show moving water!!!

My highest point in the last two years is when I allowed myself to grief over everything I had "lost" and turned a very bad life situation into a postive challengence. Now being ill is no longer everything but its a part of me, in which I try to make as pleasant as possible. I try to turn all the bad things that happend over the last years into positive events and its diffently making a big difference in how I cope and deal with life. Much more pleasant for my friends too. Lol. Also being able to craft again is a high for me:)

Interesting post... got me thinking about this past 2 years which has been incredibly emotional and life changing. I've gone from a happily married for (20 yrs), with four grown up children to being divorced - my husband told me (4 yrs ago) that he's transgendered.. long story... didn't tell me b4 we got married..
ReplyDelete... to suddenly getting used to being on my own.. I then met the love of my life and he's changed my life completely... I'd known him as a fellow artist, graphic designer that I'd worked with briefly.. anyway, I'm now living with my new husband...my life is a million miles away than what it was before... oh and I had a granddaughter in the past 2 yrs as well... so much in 2 yrs... And I'm so proud of my kids and dil who have had to cope with the divorce, their dad's "issue", me moving away and re-marrying..
Thanks Anna - I enjoy your blog and it was good to reflect on the past 2 yrs... Oh yeah.. and after bringing up 4 kids, no career - just a sahm, I'm now launching my own small business designing craft papers.. it's slow going but I'm going to press...

Highs and Lows here too, but I came out the other end...but my highest point this year was celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary and renewing my vows. Apart from when I had my children it was one of the happiest day so my life :D

2 years - that's brilliant! There have been a lot of high points in the last two years - and low ones too. Highest point? Maybe realising I am not depressed anymore. But also on a scrapping note, finishing my first album!

ReplyDeleteIt's been a mixed couple of years for me, too, starting Oct 05 when we moved 265 miles- leaving friends and family behind and finding out the night the house was empty that I was pregnant with Emily; her arrival is definitely a high point... I guess the real high point though has come from the lowest... moving to a place I absolutely HATED, but finding here some great friends who I love to chat and scrap with.

One of the best things from my last 2 years was quitting my full-time management job (went very part time as a staff nurse) and got to stay home with my dd#3 (who was born a little over 2yrs ago.
