A Crafty Day...

Every Wednesday in August, the girls and I do a craft workshop based on nature. Last week we made corn dollies (must remember to photograph our effects!), and today it was mini mosiacs, using nature to inspire and for making stamps.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the morning, and I ended up being Paxton Pitts photographer, LOL.

Firstly we were given a ball of clay which we rolled and shaped how we wanted; square, circle etc.

We then pressed/made imprints of  leaves, poppy seed heads etc into our clay. there were also stamps available all with a nature theme.

Finally we painted our finished piece.

It was a really fun morning. Next week we are weaving with willow. Although I will be missing this session as I am in Paris, oo la la!, Auntie Linda will be stepping into my shoes for this workshop.

Not long until Crafty Friday. this week I have been getting crafty in the kitchen!
My neighbour sent round one of these.

And I made chutney!
