Arrived back from Olympia very late last night and headed straight to bed with honey on toast and a cuddle with Peter. I loved being away with Tracie, Debbie, Sarah and Sue, and cannot thank them enough for helping me on the stand, but I am really glad to be home, in my own bed!!
The best part of working at shows is meeting new faces. I am so happy to have met at long last Shimelle! Who is just so cute, lol! Jane greeted us Thursday morning with doughnuts, and Saturday I met Georgina, one very talented scrapper, just like her mum!
This painting/note and cuddly toy greeted me on my pillow, awwwwww. (photo to follow)

Woke up this morning to a hot, bubble bath, bliss.... Headed over to Nana's to collect the girls, greeted to lots of hugs and cuddles. I then took them to Clare's Accessories for a treat and then lunch.

Lots of rest and cuddles are the order of the day, have not even turned my computer on!!, I am blogging from Peter's laptop instead.

Pencil Lines went live last night with a good cyber friend of mine and very talented cardmaker and scrapper, Nancy van de Berg. I pulled out lots of very old KandCo papers, and stickers! for this layout. Do pop over to see what the DT came up with Jolene's sketch.

Tomorrow I will turn my computer on and check emails. So if you are waiting for a reply form me, just give me another day please.

Hugs and thanks for stopping by

This just sums my Lilly up perfectly! Not only would she give away her last sweet/crisp/anything, but she would give away her "heart"
She just melts mine everytime with little gestures like these....

White EASTER!!!!!, Global warming has truly been this Easter, and it is snowing. Huge white flakes are dropping out of the skies as I type. This morning, the girls and Peter made a Snow Bunny and she is so pretty.

Yesterday I decided to be crafty for me, and after being inspired by this amazing lady, i made myself a paper topiary tree and Easter name placements. I used the latest Scrapping Angels kit.

I love them and they sure did brighten my Easter dining table today.

Spent this morning baking. I made an Easter Chocolate cake, Lemon Meringue cake and a Lemon Drizzle cake( all Nigella recipes). Cooked a leg of lamb spiked with fresh Rosemary from the garden, with the usual trimmings, mmmmmm. Feeling rather stuffed!.

I am away all next week working at Olympia, so if you fancy some mega scrapping bargains do pop by the Scrapping Angels stand. I am rather partial to a Galaxy bar, just in case you are wonderinghehehehe.

Pencil Lines has gone live with Iris Babao Uy as our GDT. I love Iris's style of shabby chic and she treated us to not one but 2 inspiring layouts!
PINK was the colour and inspiration for 365 today and i had plenty of pink in my space today!
Finally have you popped by the ScrapDreamie blog lately? We are searching for some fresh new DT members and would love you all to enter. Also tonight is the last day to enter our layout challenge to win some dreamie products!

I am off to do some scrapping with some dreamie MME papers for ScrapDreamie. Hope you all have had a lovely Easter Sunday, thanks for stopping by as always

Prisoner in my own home

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/20/2008 11:35:00 AM 6 lovely comments

....... you would think i have loads to blog about wouldn't you!. My car broke down Tuesday morning, just as the girls and I were off to school. Had to call a taxi to take the girls to school, and spent most of Tuesday arranging for the girls to be collected and dropped off at various after school clubs and bought home, for one mum to forget she was meant to bring Izzy back to mien after Rainbows!!! Thank goodness someone took her back to theirs and rang us!

And I am thankful for the village school bus which has been a life saver these past days taking the girls to school and bringing them back.

Tuesday evening Maria from Scrummy Stash Cafe drove down to stay at ours and we headed off to Scrap Genie for a rummage and then made a dash down the M11 and A14 and A1 to pick the girls up from the bus stop.

Happy Birthday Darling

Phew......So today my car should be returned to me, fully serviced and a new battery, and then i can head into town to purchase my dear hubby some treats for his birthday today

Here's a sneak of Pencil Lines sketch for this Sunday , using Paper Jam Studio Kit

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I was featured on the Inspirational blog thsi week. Fab idea for a blog, where they scour the net for projects that inspire .I was really happy to have been asked and featured :) Do check them out here.

More hours pleeease!!!

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/17/2008 02:32:00 PM 6 lovely comments
Phew, time to sit and blog! What a busy busy week. Do you know what, I cant even remember what I have done, lol.

Izzy had Chinese Day last week, and dressed in her Pirates of the Caribbean Chinese dress, with funky hair and makeup, which she loved!. Then Friday after school the girls had cinema night, and then home and back out for the Villages first quiz night, which really was not that bad, although a very late night was had.
Saturday we were up early and headed off to Welyn Garden City to meet up with the Deacons to watch Enchanted at the cinema, and this I loved! What a fab movie, even Peter was chuckling away, and I will never be able to do the housework again without having a sing song, LOL.

Saturday night I headed off to Colchester to meet Tracie and Debbie at ATDML retreat. Whilst I was there I was really pleased to meet Jane Dean after far too long! Poor thing was very poorly. Met Clare Brown who I havnt seen in an age, and met Anne aka Mafieswife, who had me laughing so much! Was great to see Jill and Mel as well as many other new faces.

Sunday I caught up with DT work whilst the girls and Peter made a movie called "The Princess and the Pumping Dog"!!!!!! It was absolutely hysterical, and when i can work out how to YouTube it I will!!

Sunday afternoon, the girls were invited to the stables in the village. Izzy is a natural around horses. Her first Brownie badge is a riding badge and she is booked to go to some local stables to do her badge. I am going to wait and see how she gets on and then may book her for riding lessons.

On the creative front, my project for Easy Craft Projects is up!. Love these banners that Annie does, so did my version of a Spring banner. Used Scrapping Angels March kit for this, as I am rather in love with the BG 2 Scoops!! Shock horror!!

Pencil Lines is live with Ashley Wren!!! I used the Paper Jam Studio March kit for my layout and also did a 365 challenge, 3 in 1.

This is last weeks 365 challenge layout. Used the gorgeous KandCO papers. Totally in love with these at the moment. Never thought i would be a KandCo fan! I have to admit to being a paper snob at times, *hides in corner*
Wishing Annie, Debbie, and my PL girls lots of hugs and hope you all get better soon
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Thanks as always for stopping by.

Balance

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/11/2008 01:12:00 PM 5 lovely comments
I chose this word "Balance" for yesterdays 365 challenge. Although I didn't manage an SP, I had taken lots of photos of the girls having an arty crafty session after school. Whats this got to do with "balance"? well it got me thinking that everyday I have to balance my life and tasks for the day. From being mummy, wife, artist, cook, cleaner, accountant, and so on. yesterday I managed to "balance" my day well. I cooked, I managed a layout, housework, ironing, I was a good wife and most importantly I had some quality time with the girls, painting mugs. And that is why I chose this photo :)

Sunday, Peter played his first American football game in over 12 years!!!!! He has been coaching the Bedford Blue Raiders for a few months now as the linebacker coach, but has always yearned to get back on the field. I must admit not a decision I was completely happy with, but I had to let him go with his heart. Well he played, he fell, he was absolutely exhausted, muscles ached but he ended the day as a winner for both his team and for himself. Just look at that smile of pride on his face!

I will leave you with another layout from the Two Scoops March Scrapping Angels Kit, so love the gentle colours in this kit, just crying out to be used with these photos of Lilly and a candy floss!

Thanks for stopping by, and sending virtual hugs to my teamies at Pencil Lines, everyone seems to be poorly at the moment, huge hugs girls!

Pencil Lines sketch 75 has gone live with Corinne Delis! Gotta love this funky lady, never had the pleasure to met her, but Corinne's journaling and freestyle approach to her scrapping amazes me each and every time.

I used a Scrap Muse kit that i was sent for some work I have done for them, and just so love this Rusty Pickle paper , and how perfect was it for this weeks sketch! Also this has to be my favourite photo of Lilly and I at the moment, one of my 365 photo's

Told you it was a quick update, loads to blog about tomorrow but i need my bed. BUT before I go don't forget to check this out 9am tomorrow, have you been BUZZted????

Catwalk!!!

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/05/2008 07:11:00 PM 3 lovely comments
I am easily pleased, and this week I was made up when I made the catwalk over at SIStv with my "I "heart" to bake", ( see last post for layout). Then this morning when i signed into Flickr, a layout I had on my Flickr, made it to "explore" for march 4th, and that too made me very happy!
Here is a sneak peak of a layout using the March Scrapping Angel Kit

I have been creating today, and completed my Pencil Lines layout using some of the Scrap Muse kit I received as Guest sketch artist this month.

Sneak Peak of my Sketch 75 with Scrap Muse and Rusty Pickle

Tomorrow sees me working with lots of new goodies from CHA for ScrapGenie, which really excites me. I will be buried knee high in scrummy stash and embellies!

Finally here's a layout I made a while back. Love these older Wild Asparagus papers, these make me smile!

March Madness

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/04/2008 11:17:00 AM 6 lovely comments
I cannot believe it is already March and this is my first blog post, oops!!! I have been a busy girl i have to admit, and with Mothers Day here in the UK Sunday the weekend was busy and with a full house of hungry mouths to feed.

I didn't skimp on puddings and made a cherry cheesecake form Nigella Express, Chocolate pots form Nigella Express and for us dieters Strawberry Mousse from WW Cook Book.

For starters i made Blinis with cream cheese and smoked salmon and main course was a Beef Bourguignon, complete with 2 bottles of red burgundy wine and Brandy!!!!!

I was spoilt rotten by the girls and received 2 new Momijis, well it has to be done, Kitty being my new favourite at the moment, and Dance Dance. Also received Mica CD and Atonement on DVD, and a beautiful bouquet of Lilly's, so one very spoilt mummy, and not forgetting some beautiful handmade gifts by the children. ( photos to follow)

Sunday as well as be "my" day was also Pencil Lines and Sue and I were featured GDT over at Michou's sketch blog Scrapidees. Thanks so much for having us over to play.
