"Coping with Loss" by Angie Lucas (pg117)The article followed 4 woman who had lossed someone and how they had found solace in scrapbooking, and helped with the healing process, from loosing a parent to a loved one. After reading this article, i headed to my scrap room and pulled out the only photo i posses of dad and I as a child, and I scrapped!!! And it felt good. It's funny as I did this after dad passed away, and haven't since, this article just gave me the push i needed at this time.
I was also inspired by a beautiful layout i had seen of Lucy's that she had done of her father as a baby, that i took inspiration from her layout and used her "frame idea".
This is such a brilliant idea. These gorgeous papers come from Creative imaginations. I used my craft knife to cut out the middle of the paper and used it as a "frame" on my layout, I love it!!i also stamped a border down one side using Technique Tuesday stamps and added lots of paper flowers as well as this leather flower that i found in a box of odds and ends!

A beautiful LO which, i'm sure is a fitting piece of wonderful art to remember your father.
I lost my mum 5 years ago and have only now felt able to scraph er pictures. It makes me cry but they are tears not only of loss but of joy that I had such a wonderful woman as my mother.
Scrapping really is a type of therapy!
Love and hugs,
