Bad Girl sneaks!

blogged by me domestic goddess On 6/29/2008 09:25:00 PM 7 lovely comments
July is my first kit as a DT member for Bad Girls. Stunning kit full of the usual amazing goodies that you can expect form Wendy. She has an amazing knack for putting papers and colours together you never would have thought off! Bad Girls have lots up their sleeves for next weekend to celebrate the 1st anniversary of Bad Girls Kits.

Here are a few sneaks to whet the creative appetite:

Pencil Lines went live today with Janine Boyd. I used my crop kit for this layout which I taught at today's crop.

I played with the "Boys" kit, made up of Sassafrass Lass Robots, papers and stickers. Still loving these papers :)

If anyone is interested i have 2 boy kits left (not incl chipboard title). Email me if you are interested.

This coming week I am teaching at Sawtry Collage to 45 English students about scrapbooking! Boy am i anxious, nervous, just plain scared to be honest! I am going to do a mini book, BOM, as they are learning about cultures and traditions around the world, and they are now looking at their beliefs, traditions and culture. Should be an interesting week!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Thanks as always for stopping by. I hope to get blog hopping again this week!
Hugs

See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil

This is a message we all should listen too. It is with great sadness that I have seen friends and colleagues hurt and upset by a small minority of people that fill there days saying hurtful things about people they don't know. I too have been on the receiving end and it does hurt.

I so wish we all lived in a world where we could be happy for those that succeed instead of jealous and spiteful. I know this wont happen, but i can dream on.

Party Party Party.......

blogged by me domestic goddess On 6/23/2008 12:33:00 PM 10 lovely comments
We have had a non stop weekend of partying! From a rock band, Mexican night on Saturday , to a Disney Cars party yesterday.

Saturday night we had friends round and I cooked a Mexican feast of food, the children all played well and we then put our Rock Chick and Lad rags on and we rocked to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and The Who to name a few. The kids crashed at about 10pm, and we carried on through to the early hours of Sunday morning. I am trying to be an expert drummer, become a rock chic and then maybe Taylor Hawkins may look at me twice, or even once would be good!.OK, so one can dream on, LOL.
Woke up and did a cooked breakfast for everyone, burnt my hand , boohoo, and then we all headed of to Bury for Deans birthday party. Yep Dean is 4!!!!! Dean does not like having his photo taken either, LOL. Dean had a blast, and looked completely exhausted by the end of the day, my two crashed on the way home and headed straight for bed.

Pencil Lines sketch 91 went live lats night with Debee Campos, who I am a huge fan off!

These photos are of Lilly at her school may Pole Dance in May. I used Crate Paper mainly which is available from Scrap Genie.

This week I will be buried in my Bad Girl kit and scrapping my heart out, as well as designing classes for the Autumn.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend

Hugs and thanks for stopping by

a little scrapping.....

blogged by me domestic goddess On 6/20/2008 08:20:00 PM 6 lovely comments
I cannot believe I have not found the time to work with this months Scrapping Angels kit! Its scandalous, LOL.
Well today i sat down and did some scrapping with this months kit. I did 2 6" x 12" layouts, i do love working this size, its amazing what you can still cram on such a small space!

Keeping it simple, no flowers, no clusters, no dimension!

So love this photo of Holly and Izzy. More my style on this layout :)

Today I got some very happy mail, my first DT kit for Bad Girls and it is drop dead gorgeous! I really am excited about working with such a talented team and such awesome kits, and to top it all off, July is Bad Girls 1st anniversary.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us. We have friends over tomorrow night to join in the Rock Band fun, and Sunday we are heading over to Bury for Deans birthday party.

I am really pleased with this layout. I actually did some freehand doodling!! Photos are of Sandies children, when they came over in the May half term.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, its the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and we are being promised rain!! So typical of our British weather.

... anyone that knows me and my home(s) will know too well that this is my corner of the sofa and my comfy rug! LOL

Love the lyrics from "When I'm Sixty-Four" by the Beatles, so apt for relationship layouts. I have used them for a layout before, and chose them for today's 365.
No Peter home till late, so i grabbed this photo of us about 5 years ago.

Izzy had her class assembly today and did a grand job, so proud of her, remembering all her lines to read out loud, and then she ended the day on a high, swimming completley unaided, front and back, head in the water! So proud of you Izzy.....
Thanks for stopping by, have some layouts to share tomorrow that I am working on from this months kit, so do pop by

A little piece of heaven......

blogged by me domestic goddess On 6/18/2008 11:14:00 AM 4 lovely comments

This weeks 365 prompts have been inspired by The Beatles lyrics, and today we are being inspired by Penny Lane, so I thought I would take a tour of my house and my favourite nooks and crannies. Of course now i have made this declaration of showing you around my home, it has come to my attention that i need to dust first! And then i noticed the huge pile of ironing! So maybe I will be a little more selective, hehehehe. I will pop up some more photos tomorrow, its been a dull, dark, damp day here in the UK , not to good for indoor shooting.

I have a real urge/need to scrap for me, so am hoping as soon as Peter gets home from work, the girls are tucked up in bed , i can retreat to my little space of tranquility and do little scrapping for me!. I ordered 250 photos the other week form Bonus Print for £10!! Loads of copies for rellies as well, but now I have a good store of photos to scrap. And its more of a challenge as they are all standard 6" x 4". At the moment Bonus Print have 2 free 8" x (any size photo) for free, ordered 2 8" x 12"'s today :)

Lilly and I had an arty session after school. I just love the expression and concentration on her face, bless....

Healthy eating and regime is back on track! Although i must say the cost is extortionate! I have just spent over £10 buying fruit for tonight's salad!

OK enough of my grumblings, off to bath the girls and enjoy the evening!
Pssst, i hear it is someones 40th today!

Morning!

blogged by me domestic goddess On 6/16/2008 09:55:00 AM 6 lovely comments
I know its been a few days since i last blogged, but life and health has got in the way!

Not too much to report,
  • a night out with friends on Thursday,
  • recovering from hangover on Friday
  • family bingo Friday night

  • school fete at the Deacons school in Welyn on Saturday

  • Fathers day! and suffering with a horrid eye infection :(
I have also been busy with DT work as well. But in general I would say that suns up my last week, LOL.

Pencil Lines went live last night, and I love my layout, not often I say that but I am pleased I have scrapped a photo of me and my camera, as it is such a huge part of my daily life! I used Pink Pailsee Spring Fling, which I am in love with! I honestly though I wouldn't like it as much as Office Lingo, but i LOVE it! Cannot wait to see what they release at CHA this summer.

Scrapping Angels June kit was sent out last week, but I still have a few left. Check out the website for details!

Have you checked out ScrapDreamie lately? Lots of gorgeous projects to feast your eyes on. Here is a layout I did with the Prima Whisper collection.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend
Hugs and thanks for stopping by

Back to Basics

blogged by me domestic goddess On 6/11/2008 01:54:00 PM 9 lovely comments
Yep, that's me at the moment. Pulling in the reigns when It comes to jumping in the car, and the food shop is taking a cut too!
Lilly and I have started our little vegetable garden, which currently resides in pots, but, this time next year we will be the proud owners of a raised vegetable garden! Peter darling, if you are reading this, please pretty please, we are begging you!

This years crop consist of, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, spring onions and beetroot. next year we will like to introduce some salad leaves and a larger crop of potatoes as well as some berries.

I am about to take some cuttings from my lavenders and rosemary, and hopefully start my nursery of plants to plant in the front of the house! I can hear Sue laughing out loud as the name "Margo" comes to mind. Peter will be cursing me, thinking, "here she goes again, with another of her crazy ideas!". OK, so Sunday I wanted to be a Rock Chick and follow the Foo Fighters all over the world, marry Taylor Hawkins, but today I have come back down to earth and i want to be all Felicity Kendall, not Margo Sue!! (The Good Life, remember that?)

I have been a busy scrapper these last few days, finishing of projects. Here is a mini book I did for Scrap Dreamie blog. I was lucky to have Prima Whisper papers and Prima embellies to play with. I love this mini book, I have made 3 in total and still enjoy making them. It takes only 1 piece of card stock or paper to make the shell, now thats being economical!

This is a sneak of some work I have done for TSBM, using Pink Paislee Spring Fling. Love that range of papers too!.

The girls are busy with so much happening at school now the year is drawing to a close. cannot believe Izzy will be entering juniors ion September and Lilly will no longer be in reception but a Year 1 pupil!!

Today Izzy had Pirates and Princess today. Now you would expect her to jump at the chance to be a princess, but no, she wanted to be Jack Sparrow. Recognize this outfit? Yes, its Lilly's, LOL

Maybe overacting a bit here izzy!!

Have a great day, and thanks as always for stopping by.

Fightin the Foo

OMGG, words cannot describe how awesome this band are live! How lucky am I to have seen them at Wembley Stadium with 86,000 other people, I might add!!! And then Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin comes on stage, it was the highlight of their tour and is a musical highlight for me too! Check out this article from NME. I didn't take my camera, because i was sure i wouldn't be able to take it in, so took a point and shoot, so my photos are crap tbh, and i could have taken my camera after all. BUT we were sitting the furthest and highest point possible, LOL, so i doubt any of my lenses would have done the trick. The concert ended with a firework display and 86, 000 people on their feet crying with joy!.

Here are a few piccies:

Me sporting me new David Grohl T shirt, hehehe. Even though I am in Lurve with taylor Hawkins!!

Last night saw Pencil Lines sketch 88 go live with Brazilian super scrapper Regiane Santos!

I played with some glimmer mist and my journaling pen and pulled out some old Junkitz papers. Fun sketch, perfect for this photo of Annie and I last month, when we went to see Mark Ronson in concert.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I am off to do some pottering in the garden and catch up on boring housework as we were out of the house most of the weekend.
Hugs and thanks for stopping by

Battered and Brusied

blogged by me domestic goddess On 6/07/2008 10:49:00 AM 10 lovely comments

What a week i have had! I have been battered and bruised by the dentist which left me feeling really under the weather. A funeral we attended on Thursday was carried out by the same lady who did Dad's funeral, and all those memories came flooding back. And then yesterday, I had a bad fall in London which winded me and has left me with a left hand battered and bruised. I cannot wait for the week to be over!

BUT, today Peter and I are headed to Wembley Arena to see the Foo Fighters!!!!

Have a fab weekend, I know I will *inserts cheesey grin*
Hugs and thanks for stopping by!
