I am using up my drawer full of left over kits, and this is another one from Kenner Road.

Busy Scrapping

My half term has started off productive I am glad to say. The weekend we had a huge clear out of the garage and my outbuilding/known to most as the potting shed! has been given an organized and spacious new look.

Its such a lovely feeling clearing out all the rubbish and strating with a tidy and organized space!
Peter is planning to turn the garage into a studio for me, which has astonished me to be honest, but I am also really excited. Its not an immediate plan but one we will be considering this year.

So after all that clearing out, today has been locked in the studio working on projects for The Scrapbook Magazine and Nikki Sivils.

A few sneaks to share with you today:

Nikki Sivils Janaury Challenge

blogged by me domestic goddess On 1/31/2011 02:26:00 PM 1 lovely comments
Pinch Punch, the first of the month. Can you actually believe its February already!!! Panic.....

Every month Nikki Sivils set a challenge for our blog readers and the design team. This month was the first time I have actually joined in with the challenge, shame on me I know!

This months challenge was new resolutions. I usually do a layout with my OLW for the year, and I will in time, but I decoded to go with a crafty resolution instead. Every year around autumn, I start knitting, very rarely completing anything or starting something beyond my means! This year I actually knitted some scraves and neck cowls which I gave as Christmas gifts this year. I really enjoyed and got  alot of pleasure completing a knitting project at long last. So in 2011 I want to improve my knitting skills and try to knit something a little more challenging and actually complete it!

This is what I am hoping to complete; a jacket in the gorgeous Sidar Indie wool. I seem to work well with chunky knits, LOL, they knit up quick, just how I like it!

Here is my layout dedicated to my new crafty love;

Knitting

love the banners in this range

I made the faux knitting needles from paper

Supplies : Nikki Sivils My Friend Birdie papers, alphabet and diecuts, Prima flowers, Jenni Bowlin butterfly, Such Sweet Tierney buttons

Do you have a new craft you want to try this year? Would love to hear about it. Before I go just wnat to say HI to all my new followers. Don't be shy and do say Hi :)

New Years Eve 2010

blogged by me domestic goddess On 1/09/2011 08:26:00 PM 2 lovely comments
Odd title you may think, now that its 2011, and I agree it is, but I scrapped our 2010 New Years Eve for Pencil Lines sketch 220 this week.

As some of you may remember, the past 2 years we have had a fancy dress New Years Eve party and are surrounded by our closest friends and family, and this is the case most NYE. This year we decided to spent NYE on our own. Come 10.30pm the kids were well and truly in bed, I was in my PJ's and not a drink in site!!!
That day we had had a HUGE kitchen clear out and came across a Kenwood Smoothie Pro that Sue had given us and it now has a place on the kitchen top, being used regulary I am glad to say. But its first outing was on NYE where it happily made Peter and I Margarita's; a whole bottle of Tequila's worth of Margarita's.
Peter and I had a lovely evening, just the two of us watching Jools Hollands Hootenanny, an absolute must on NYE, whilst enjoying lots of Margarita's!!
The night ended up with us having a fit of the giggles and 2am and Izzy barging in our bedroom, hands on hip giving us a right telling off!
Quite a night to remember, LOL

So here is  my layout, 8" x 11" photos, taken with my Iphone using instagram (a must have app!)

Supplies : Bazzill cardstock, Hambly transparencies, Such Sweet Tierney buttons, Scenic Route chipboard, AC alphabets.

Tomorrow I will share my 365 project I am doing, all with my Iphone and Iphone app.

Dropping in to share a couple of layouts I did for Nikki Sivils.
Using Nikki's new Christmas line Happy Holly Days, I made a layout of Izzy a couple of Christmas's gone when she was Mary in the school nativity play.

Supplies : Nikki Sivils Happy Holly Days paper, stickers, Such Sweet Tierney Christmas buttons, crochet flower, Prima flower, Angel Kiss flower

My second layout is using  Something for Everyone, and just as the name suggests this collection is just perfect for male, female layouts as well as everyday and heritage, I totally love this collection.

Supplies : Nikki Sivils Something for Everyone papers and stickers, Prima flowers, Cosmo Cricket chipboard, Bazzill cardstock, Tim Holtz ticket

These past few days have been hectic as we have been preparing the house for Christmas. I always have a mega clear out and tidy up before we put the decs up, its just another one of those silly traditions!
I will share photos this coming weeks of our trees and decorations as well as some of our family traditions.
Finally just got to say I am over the moon Matt won the XFactor. Although I absolutley adore Rebacca, but she will be better off doing her own thing. And Matt Baker is through to the finals of Strictly, yay!!!

Hope your weekend has been good to you,
