Yes Christmas has started to come to our house today. My wonderful friend Sue came to visit today armed with Christmas pressies and a birthday pressie for me, which i got to open today. I am so lucky i got a Muji doll to add to my collection and was jumping for joy literally. I will take a photo tomorrow. I also have a large bag with a gorgeous sparkly "A" on it from Annie with strict instructions NOT to open before my birthday!!Sue and I actually got some scrapping done, can you believe it. It was so nice to sit, chat and scrap.
After my fabulous day, we went to choose our Christmas tree. Now this year is to be a first. I love, adore the smell and the whole choosing a real Christmas tree, but alas last year was our last and we are now the owners of an imitation Norwegian fir tree. But you know what, I actually think I like it. At the moment it she in place minus any decs and lights so she could relax and get used to her new surroundings before the onslaught of baubles and such!
I also purchased some new wooden decs and this years angel. Every year I buy a new angel for my ever increasing selection. Nothing expensive or showy, just a simple angel that grabs me when i see it. This year she is a plain painted tin angel, and I love her.I will overload my blog tomorrow with photos of my decs and tree.
The girls met the man himself, Santa Claus. Lilly was a bit weary but came round eventually. Izzy was in her element and cant stop talking about him! Although Lilly did have fun trying on masks in the festive hall!!
I now have some fab news to tell, well it is for me. Today I was LOTD at Scrap Galaxy, a US forum. I only joined a week ago and I was sent an email a couple of days ago to tell me one of my LO's was to be their layout of the day, and I am so happy.
So how has your day been? Have you got your decs and tree up yet?
Bed beckons for me, afraid Stacey hasn't rubbed of on me yet. I will tackle my scrap room tomorrow, I promise!
