Pencil Lines went live last night with Birgit Koopsen. Love this ladies work, and the sketch is totally different and so much fun!

I played with some new Jillybean Soup product!

Bad Girls Project 52 is 11 weeks old and my project went live today. I made a grunge (well for me it is!)mini book. Check out the site for more details of what I used :)

Quick post today as I have so much to do, but this melts my heart! Poorly girl today, who has spent the morning at nana's so I could go to work. Not the greatest photo ever, not gonna win me any awards, but I love it! Sums up my cheeky litttle Lilly!

Hope you had a great weekend.

Thank you to everyone that posted their best friend stories, the winner is :

My best friends and I were chatting for years about how we wanted to go away for a girlie weekend. Well, last weekend we went to Paris. Had the most fabulous time, got on well with each other- no husbands meant no wet towels on floor,no leaving toilet seat up,no snoring(well not much)etc. As we've been through thick and thin together for years it was the best tonic we could have asked for and brought us closer together.I just look forward to scrapping the photos now.Good luck with the job.

honest!. Just getting used to my new life as a real working mum, LOL.
We had such a busy weekend, and I took not ONE photo Friday night, yikes!!! Thank goodness each table had a camera, off to get those developed today.
I am loving my new job, its been a week today that I started. the children am working with are just adorable and I want to take them all home! not sure Peter would feel happy about that. I am all over the school at the moment, which is fun. After Easter I will be assigned a child and year group to work with.
Talking about work, I must dash (oo sounds posh that word "dash" don't you think?), and I will be back later with the winner of the Cosmo Cricket Lace Card kit and some sneaks of Aprils Bad Girls Kit!!!

is a brilliant children's book, that also helped me get my job as a teaching assistant, is also 40 years old this year, and Eric Carle is 80!

What does this have to do with anything you may ask? I so love this book and it is celebrating its 40th year and Peter is 40 tomorrow and I have a busy busy day planned!
See you later

Special Time

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/17/2009 08:56:00 PM 13 lovely comments

with a special friend, was the order of the day!Its kinda funny really, you would think I was moving to the other side of the country if you saw the tears shed at my house today when Sue came over! Sue and I spend a lot of time on the phone and see each other a fair bit! In fact our days out are so important that Sue just recently changed her shifts to suit so that we could spend Tuesdays seeing each other....then I go get a job and our weekly visits are now a distant memory. So we celebrated our last day together with our little rituals;
these include

- chocolate croissant for breakfast with coffee (for me) and diet coke (for Sue)
- followed by some chatting and kit packing
- lunch
- followed by galaxy chocolate (notice no photo!)
- girly movie, today that was Enchanted
- followed by photo!

and we managed to squeeze it all in! Sue also came armed with this little cutie! which caused lots of emotional tears and OMG, OMG from me!

So after saying farewell at St Neots train station we agreed to do it all over again at Peters birthday party Friday!!! hehehe
This afternoon I have been finalising all the RSVP's and I am a bit nervous but also ever so excited! Peters pressie from me arrived today as well *inserts HUGE grin*

This is a layout I did at my crop Sunday. Used this months Jeni Bowlin kit and a photo of us (such a rare thing these days!) at an American football match in 2006, don't the girls look so young!

And finally my little giveaway to celebrate my new job! A Cosmo Cricket lacing card set "FRIENDS".

Just leave me a comment telling me your favourite best friend story.

Sassafrass Lass Happy Place
Scenic Route red chipboard alphabet
MM spotty thickers
Red Nose Day stickers!

My weekend has been hectic, and yesterday was crop day.I will share my class mini book with you tomorrow and a layout I completed. Today I am rushing around before I start work on Wednesday!. I have to go up to the school to hand in all my ID, and I am doing my last lunchtime stint at the girls school. Trying to tie up all the loose ends to Peters party on Friday, and tomorrow I am off to purchase some work clothes!!!

There will not be a template tuesday tomorrow, but a giveaway instead, to celebrate me getting a job, which also moves me on nicely to this months theme over at "A Snapshot of my Life", which is "Celebrate".

Have a great day, the sun is shining here, I hope its shining where you are too.

a proper working mum as of Wednesday!!!! Very exciting to let you know that I had a job interview at a local school on Thursday, to work one on one with a child in reception, as a teaching assistant. Well yesterday afternoon I received the call to say that they would love to offer me the position!! I am so ecstatic, I cant tell you. The child I am working with is very poorly, and is only in school a few hours a week. I will be working a 15 hour week, and cannot wait to get started.
Just had to tell you my fab news!!
Back to packing kits for tomorrows crop

Too Busy to Blog...

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/13/2009 02:08:00 PM 8 lovely comments

Honestly, I am not sure where this week has gone. I have so much on. Peters birthday is only a week away now, and there is still so much to organize! Just ordered the balloons and champagne, hoping I havnt forgotten anything!
We have "stuff" going on at home which is taking alot of my time up as well.

BUT today is COMIC RELIEF or better know as RED NOSE DAY!. The girls got to cross dress or wear red, my two went for the cross dress option. Izzy wore Peters shirt and tie and is sporting a rather spiffing tash and stubble, LOL, and Lilly went in as a Newcastle football player (yeah I hear Kevin cry!!!!).

Izzy has decided to that "Yo Mum, whats going down?" is the way she should talk to me today!!!

I really want to do my five fav Friday list, but I think you are going to have to accept these five photos instead! Sorry for the cop out today, but hopefully it will raise a smile form you all,and any UK readers, spare a few pennies and donate to COMIC RELIEF today!

Hugs and have a great Friday

Love this picture of Lilly on her bike from last Sunday. Infact there are lots of lovely photos from that day for me to scrap. I am sure they will be featured on a layout coming to this blog soon, LOL. Seriously busy few months ahead of me, need extra hours in the day, and lots more organization skills! I so lack in these.....

Which means Five Fav Friday and a celebrity chat with Sharon Laakkonen at Bad Girls tonight at 6pm PST, check out Prima blog and Bad Girls for further details :)

Five Fav Friday is Flickr favorites. I love Flickr and am always inspired by the amazing and talented photographers and artists. I started my Flickr account with my 365 challenge last year. I have met some great online friends, have had photos published for a German Kids magazine and when I need some inspiration for Photography or scrap booking, it will be one of the first places I will head for! So here goes my Five Fav Friday list :

- I cannot take credit for this find! Sue sent me a link to this Flickr gallery. How amazing are these cakes! I couldn't eat one though, you have to just look at them.... well OK just a little nibble then , hehehehe

- Adore these felt creations, especially her new brooches!

- Debee inspires me all the time with her ART. An amazing digi scrapper, paper scrapper and artist!

- Truly WOW, how can Rebecca not make you want to run to your stash and start creating. Love her Nature inspired pieces

- Could never even attempt this woman's work!
Are you totally inspired now!? I know I am

Have a wonderful weekend, I am hoping to do something creative in my studio this weekend.

Template Tuesday

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/03/2009 10:40:00 PM 0 lovely comments
is slightly different today. I have been so busy these last few days and am suffering from the start of a migraine, hot water bottle is warming my bed as I type. Today I am giving you some papers I made a good few weeks back, instead of a template. Nothing grand, just some distressed solid papers, that you will hopefully have some fun with!

You can download the papers here
Have fun and hopefully be back tomorrow with a proper post, its one busy day!

Layouts, Kids Life, Invites and more!

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/02/2009 02:47:00 PM 7 lovely comments

Crazy busy life at the moment! Peters big 40 is this month (yikes its March already!), and I have over 100 people coming for his birthday party, lots to organize and invites to write and post. I have at last written the majority of the invites, enclosed directions and hotel details as well as the evenings entertainment! and that is all I can spill at the moment. I know he doesn't read my blog, but he may just start, knowing my luck, if i start spilling the beans on here.
I had a lovely surprise come in the post today; my copy of a German magazine "Kids Life". Why is this such a big thing you may ask, well dear bloggers there are a small handful of my photos in it for an editorial on kids fancy dress parties! Thanks to Flickr, the editor was browsing galleries and came across a couple of the girls and asked what else I may have that would be suitable.

Bad Girls Kits went live yesterday and a crazy hour for us brits, 6am!!! and I was there for the pre launch party at 5am, madness I tell you. The poor server couldn't keep up with all the Bad Girls present.

This months kit "Windsor Court", is very pink and loud!, has the most gorgeous velvet Prima flowers and velvet 7 Gypsies leaves that I am so in love with!

Here are my layouts:
Gorgeous

Sienna

Girls Night In

Izzy 04.

Pencil Lines went live last night with Japanese scrapbooker "az". I love these photos of LUcy (Folch) and me a last years Scrapping Angels retreat.

I used some Prima papers and lots of flowers. I love my flowers, just in case you didn't know this, LOL, and I don't think this will change in a very long time! A layout doesn't seem complete to me without a sprinkling of blooms! Guess that is what makes a layout mine !
We had a lovely weekend, long walk on Sunday and the girls got their passport photos done on Saturday. This was not an easy task for Lilly. Try telling her she must not fidget or giggle nor smile! But bless her she managed! I have lots of photos to share from the weekend, but I think this post is picture heavy enough!

Back tomorrow with template tuesday and weekend photos.
