I adore Cosmo Crickets Early Bird collection from last season.

On Sunday I taught at my local crop and used Early Bird to teach a layout and a card. This layout was inspired by a layout I had seen in Scrapbook Trends UK. I loved the idea of the paper strips; great idea for using up your scraps!

Here is my layout :

The photo is a self timed on a rock photo from our holiday last Easter in Provence. there is not a photo from our holiday that I dont love, the light and colours were just beautiful!

Here is a quick card I made using some scraps;

Victoria's Street

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/26/2010 09:53:00 PM 4 lovely comments
Today I am sharing some sneak peaks of an album (I will share in full tomorrow) using Nikki Sivils Victoria's Street, from last season.

I love my home, I love interior design ( I was an Interior Designer before I had the girls), I love my knick knacks, so this collection pulls at my heart strings; especially as it is in my favourite home decor colours, creams and browns!
Nikki Sivils has a fantatsic range of chipboard mini albums all 6" x 6" in size. I used the house for my album, predictably!

(in progress)

What I also love about Nikki's albums are they are NOT pre holed, which means you can use the chipboard shape on its own or add to a layout. I will have a cute wall hanging to share with you tomorrow using a chipboard only shape.

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow with details of my album in full, and more from Victoria's Street.

My Sweet Cherry Pie

blogged by me domestic goddess On 3/24/2010 06:38:00 PM 9 lovely comments
Today I am sharing some projects using Nikki Sivils "My Sweet Cherry Pie". This collection is from Nikki Sivils last season releases and is available to buy here in the UK from Sarah's Cards.

I love this collection, it is so cute and versatile!

Sue has used My Sweet Chery Pie collection for her layout below (as seen above). I love the way she cut "Cherry Blast" paper as a corner embelishment.

Sprinkles by Sue Deacon -  Papers Nikki Sivils My Sweet Cherry Pie, Warm Brads Nikki Sivils, Flag Nikki Sivils, Diecut Nikki Sivils

I made a card and pocket using My Sweet Cherry Pie.

I used my silhoutte cutting machine to make the scalloped card. I cut strips of pattern paper form My Sweet Cherry Pie collection, layerd them onto my card and added a length of ribbon.

Supplies : Cardstock Worldwin papers, pattern paper Nikki Sivils, Diecut Nikki Sivils, brads Nikki Sivils, ribbon

Using a scalloped punch, I punched a diecut form the My Sweet Cherry Pie diecut sheet and placed a brad from the warm brads collection in the middle. I popped the diecut onto my card using a foam pad. Finally a stamped a sentiment to the front of my card.

My second project is a pocket. I used my silhoutte to cut a shaped pocket using "Cherry Tree".

Supplies : Pattern paper Nikki Sivils, Diecuts Nikki Sivils, Brads Nikki Sivils, Flowers Prima Marketing, ribbon

I then decorated the front of my pocket with diecuts, ribbon and flowers. Finally I added 2 brads from the Warm Brads collection and wrapped ribbon to close.

I hope you enjoyed the projects I shared with you. I will be back tomorrow with another favourite collection!
