Scrapping Tonight

I have been working so hard these last few weeks on magazine deadlines, its been bedlham here, LOL.
So to start my Nikki Sivils fun packed week here on my blog, I am going to tease you with a few sneaks.



Tomorrow I will share some projects using Nikki Sivils My Sweet Cherry Pie, and a Nikki Sivils RAK for 1 lucky reader, that will be up for grabs this week!

I am so honoured to be a guest designer over at Mission Create, this week.

"For each Mission you will receive a list of 5 challenge ideas that have been individually selected by each of the MC Creative Team as well as our Guest Designer! Your Mission is to then Create a layout that includes the challenge ideas!

You can use as little as 3 of the items from the challenge list or as many as all 5, it is up to you!
Every Mission to Create will be different and unique, just as all of you are & each of the MC Creative Team!"

Welcome if you are visiting from Rebekah's birthday blog bash, and have hopped on over from Claire's blog.
Firstly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY REBEKAH!!!.It has been one inspirational blog hop, hasn't it!

My challenge to you if you wish to accept is the following;

• take inspiration from my sketch
• use buttons
• hand journal

I used 3 photo's on my layout, of my daughter Izzy on World Book Day this year, dressed as Hermoine Granger from the Harry Potter movies.
I used the fun and funky papers from Nikki Sivils (last season collection), Cherry Pie. The handpainted buttons are from Such Sweet Tierney.



Supplies : Bazzill cardstock, Nikki Sivils pattern papers, Nikki Sivils journaling die cut, Such Sweet Tierny buttons, American Crafts alphabet, Sassafras Lass diecut border strip

I will have a few Nikki Sivils post next week, showcasing present and past collections by myself and some scrapping buddies. All the collections I will be using can be purchased here in the UK!

is a match made in heaven! Once again Pencil Lines have been joined by Prima Markleting Inc., and this weeks designer from Prima is Cari Fennell.
I am in heaven playing with Prima product. As a flower addict , Prima do not dissapoint my passion for all things botanical! I got to play with Strawberry Kisses paper line, and beautiful blooms.
It just shows that great minds think a like, as Sue (who joined as this week), also did a layout about our day in London and Tea at the Ritz!

Tea at the Ritz

I had hoped to have posted this earlier in teh day, but I have been out all day looking for a new car and I am now the proud owner of a Honda Jazz Sports, thanks to my gorgeous darling husband. I pick my car up on Wednesday! I am soooo excited!!!
Anyways, back to a healthy muffin recipe for you to try tomorrow morning for Mums breakfast!

Ingredients

75g butter
200g plain flour
75g caster sugar ( you may want to make up to 100g, Peter said they were not very sweet, I love them!)
1/2 tsp of bicarb
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 egg
200ml buttermilk or 100ml plain yoghurt and 100ml semi skimmed milk
200g blueberries

Method



Pre heat oven to 200c and fill 12 muffin pans with cases
Melt the butter and leave to cool a little
Mix all dry ingredients
Mix buttermilk, egg and cooled butter in a jug
Add to dry mixture, do not over mix
Fold in gently blueberries
Spoon mixture into cases
Cook for 18-20 minutes



Eat warm, yummy!

Here is a quick card I made with this sketch. I made a birthday card, but will make another card for Mothers Day using this sketch.


I used Nikki Sivils Flaming Butterfly papers, and Such Sweet Tierney buttons. Love London's buttons. She hand paints each button.
Today has been a good day; I shared my passion for scrapbooking with my class of 33 children, and the delight on their faces made my day.



Tomorrow pop by for delicious blueberry muffins, just perfect for Mothers Day morning! Low in fat so Mum will thank you!!

Ania, my fellow Pencil Lines deisgn team member is celebrating 5 years of blogging! Ania is on some awesome deisgn temas in cluding Pink Pailsee, Hambly and the one and only Pencil Lines *wink wink*. I had the pleasure of working with Ania at Bad Girls a few years ago and I am always blown away by her talent! She has a really modern style that I love and wish I could do. If you have never visited 
Little Corner of Ania, I suggest you do it now; Ania has a week of giveaways and tutorials to share, and a little birdie told me that Pencil Lines the Sketch Book may be amongst them.

A very long overdue post, and why am I posting now? Well I left my camera at work in the staff room; smack my wrist I know. Planned post of card and projects are not to be!

Anyways, rewind back a couple of weekends ago. My 2 good friends my southern friend Sue, and the northern one, Karen, had planned a (belated) birthday treat to tea at The Ritz. This place holds a special place in my heart, because my Dad had taken me a few times here for birthday treats when I was  agirl. I remember getting all dressed up in my Sunday best for a trip to London and a matinee, followed by Tea at The Ritz!
As you can imagine, I was elated when last year on my (40th) birthday I was handed an invitation for Saturday February 27th....
Now at first I thought this gift was form Sue, but oh no! karen rings me the Friday before for a chat, doorbell rings, and who is standing on the other side.... KAREN! ooo she is a little mischief is she! I should know by now, that she wouldnt have missed this day out for the world. So as well as going for tea and spending a good few hours admiring the halls at Harrods, I got to do it all with 2 very dear friends!

I currently have so many photos to go through from the last 2-3 weeks for  my 365 and general stuff. Hoping to get started on editing and sharing real soon! I hate getting so behind!
