My Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is a way of life for me now.It has been for over 4 years. I love journaling, taking photos of my family and love colour and texture, these are all part of my everyday life and scrapbooking.

New School Year

Its September, and the start of the new school year here in the UK. Kids all over the UK are dressed to the nines, shiny shoes and neatly pressed shirts, backpacks packed with sharpened pencils. This household is no different and my girls left home bright and early this morning for the school bus, dressed for the part, year 2 and year 4 students!






The only thing that was different this year, was I was unable to take them to school like I do every start of term. The girls had to take the bus, as I was also starting the school year as a TA for year 3/4. We all had a great first day,and I was bought to tears, by 2 former pupils from my class last term who asked to see me. I was greeted with huge hugs and smiles, and "How are you Miss?" this so made my day!




So here they are the obligatory first day at school photos. We were battling with really strong winds so I had to take them inside, then we had a quick pose before jumping in the car.

Izzy has just grown so much in the last year! She looks so confident, a very proud Mummy am I.

Lilly over the past 4 years! Oh my has'nt my baby girl grown!!

    What a lovely series of photos :) Glad you all had a great first day back. First year for me that I had no children to go back (and I haven't worked in a school for 18 months now), so felt a bit strange - both my 'babies' are now out at work! Hope your new class turns out well for you - enjoy it :)

    Good luck in your new year. I've moved from year 2 to year 6 as TA too. It is lovely when the pupils are genuinely happy to see you isn't it?
