My Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is a way of life for me now.It has been for over 4 years. I love journaling, taking photos of my family and love colour and texture, these are all part of my everyday life and scrapbooking.

not the best blogger on the block....

This weeks excuse is I have had Lilly off school all week with a nasty cough and high temperatures. In fact she is still in bed 14 hours later! I have been running a round like a loony this week dropping Lilly off at Nana's so that I could go to work. Today though I have had to take the day off to look after her. She looks so frail, don't you just hate it when our little ones are poorly, makes me feel so useless :(
I am going to get her to the Dr's as we are flying out next weekend to France for our first oversees family holiday, and we are all so excited. A much needed break for us all.
I had hoped to be sharing photos from Peters 40th party, but the photos I picked up were dreadful, really really bad. Ah well, guess we live and learn, nagging Karen into sending me a disc of her photos, asap pleease....

Keepsake Box
I received this gorgeous and very versatile 3d box to play with this month from C&T. I decided to have a rummage through past kits as well as using goodies from this month’s kit, to create a keepsake box of letters, photos and trinkets that Peter has given to me when we first met. I will pop my most treasured keepsakes in here (after I make the trip to the loft to gather them!). I decorated the box with left over’s of the Rosebud paper from this months kit, and added crystals, the cameo from past kits, and flowers and ribbon form this month’s kit. Inside I collaged the top of the lid with lots of the vintage labels which I cut out. The inside top lid was finished off with the Prima stem of flowers. The bottom was decorated with one of the large stickers. I then tied a large bow with some stemmed roses to keep all my treasures safe.

Hope to be back with my five fav Friday list later, have really missed not doing it the past couple of weeks
